We believe in keeping rates affordable, so patients can get the quality they deserve. In order to assist you with the investment in your dental health, we have the following policies:

Insurance

Newark Dental care is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. 

Currently, we only accept PPO insurance plans. We are primarily a fee-for-service practice. This means that patients have the freedom of choosing providers that are considered "out-of-network". Typically, most fee-for-service providers charge their full UCR procedure fees upfront to the patient and electronically submit a claim on behalf of the patient. The patient is directly sent a reimbursement check from their insurance. But, this can result in hundreds or even thousands of dollars in unexpected costs at the time of service. We take a different approach to better serve our patients

We understand that paying in full at completion of your procedures can cause financial hardships for the patient. At the conclusion of your service, we electronically bill your insurance for direct reimbursement to the practice. If the you have a co-insurance balance after the processing of the claim, we may bill you for that difference. Rest assured this is in the best interest of the patient. This model allows Dr. Bailon to spend more time with patients and ensure that each specific need is addressed. 

But, please note that we are a PPO Provider for Delta Dental of California. This means that we are contractually "in-network" with them. In most instances, patients under Delta Dental plans will not have any co-insurance for preventative care. This includes your regular cleanings and x-rays. More times than not, co-insurance will only apply to non-preventative care procedures. Similar to the fee-for-service model, we may bill you for the difference. To be transparent, this is because we contract our services for a small percentage of our full UCR fee. While this heavily discounts services for the patient, it's unsustainable for dental practices to not recoup the contracted fee. 

We will always do our best to provide you with accurate coverage estimates. Due to vast variety and ever-changing nature of insurance benefits, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate a patient’s co-insurance. But, whenever possible, we will attempt to submit prior authorization to your insurance provider so that there are no hidden costs to you. Many insurance companies do not release fee information until after treatment is completed and billed. Dealing with insurance companies is difficult and as a courtesy, we ask that you please keep us informed of any changes in your insurance coverage as they occur.

Payment Options

We accept cash, debit, personal checks, and credit cards:

  • Option 1: Full Payment at Time of Service. 
    • This option is for deductibles, prior authorizations, and cash patients. 
  • Option 2: Payment Plan – Fees divided into two or three equal payments. 
    • This option is for established patients only.
